Taylor Government

Taylor has a variety of modern municipal buildings. Taylor City Hall, the Taylor Police Department, the 23rd District Court and the Midtown Fire Station are all located on Goddard Road, east of Telegraph Road. The William Ford Senior Activity Center is a favorite place for older residents to visit and is the nicest senior center in Michigan. The Department of Public Works, located at Beech Daly and Northline roads, featured a visit by President Bill Clinton for the grand opening in 1996. The Taylor Community Library, located near Heritage Park, is a favorite place of city residents. President George W. Bush visited Taylor in 2004. Current President Barack Obama visited the city during the presidential campaign in 2008.
